Mars Observer MOC Mars Approach Images of 27 July 1993

For Mars Observer cruise sequence C12, the spacecraft was maneuvered and slewed such that the planet Mars passed through the MOC image plane. Three attempts to image Mars were made on 27 July 2003; the first two Narrow Angle images (C12-3 and C12-6) contained the planet, the third (C12-9) did not (owing to a downtrack or crosstrack mispositioning of the spacecraft during the imaging maneuver).
